Today, learning another language is significant. In fact, nearly all students in the United States are studying another language. Whether you speak one or more, languages are a crucial part of everyday life. They are among the main keys of communication.

There are more than 7,000 dialects in the world and 2,700 languages. A dialect is a regional variety of a certain language having a different vocabulary, pronunciation or meaning. In Asia alone, there are 2,200 dialects.

2,400 dialects are considered “endangered” while 231 are already extinct. Every 14 days, one language dies.

In the Chinese language, there are 50,000 characters. For you to read a newspaper, you must know about 2,000. Of the world’s population, 12.44% speaks Mandarin as their first language. On the other hand, ¼ speaks at least some English.

In the English language, “E” is the most commonly used letter. Also, most English words begin with “S”. “I am”, on the other hand, is the shortest complete sentence. Basque is the most difficult language to learn since it has an extremely complicated vocabulary and word structure. It is spoken in SouthWestern France and NorthWestern Spain. It isn’t related to any other language.
