The Thermomix - How It Started

The Thermomix was first created in 1971 by the German company Vorwerk. Did you know that more than 120 engineers and technical experts were involved in the development of the Thermomix? In addition to this, more than 25,000 recipes were tested to check their compatibility with the machine. 

The idea of the Thermomix started when a German mother wanted to make her own baby food for her child. But at that time existing appliances are not capable of doing this. This mother then had thought of a machine that is capable of grinding food into bits that are small enough for a child to eat and this machine can at the same time cook the food; and that is how the idea of the Thermomix was formed.

Since its creation, 4 generations of the Thermomix have been released and has taken over Europe by storm and is now expanding to all parts of the world. Every minute, there are atleast 2 Thermomix being sold.

In places all over the world, distributors are emerging, providing customers with after sales support and likewise giving product demonstrations for people who are interested about the Thermomix.

The new Thermomix TM5 that was released in September 2014 has cool features that surpass the version before it. These new features are claimed to make a safer and a great cooking experience.
