How Annoying Can A Telemarketing Company Be?

Just how annoying, exactly, can a telemarketing company or its agent be? In a research conducted by Sci Sales group, surveying 200 marketing managers, it is definitely annoying. There are different types of telemarketing calls, however, and that which is considered as the most annoying are the telemarketing calls at home, where 35% of those surveyed said that being called at home by a telemarketer is annoying. Meanwhile, only 4% of those surveyed said that they get annoyed when telemarketers call them while they are at work. The closest explanation would be that a telemarketing call may be the best excuse to look busy to the boss’ eyes.

Kidding aside, however, telemarketing remains to be a very effective means of advertising strategy. The same telemarketing managers were surveyed regarding the effectivity of telemarketing and 60% of those surveyed claim that it is very effective. That is more than the majority and this number rises when those who claim that it is effective are added, making the number move to a staggering 90%. It can only mean that the 10% who claim that this particular type of strategy are a small minority who are probably not executing the strategy correctly. That is, these people may only have to improve their telemarketing techniques in order to gain more success that they currently have.
