Document Classification
Know that your set of documents can divided into two categories. They are:
- educational certificates
- non-educational documents
Knowing The Requirements
When going to Dubai for the purpose of business, education or employment there are specifications pertaining to the attestation requirements. Typically these are based on the four types of visas - dependent visa, employment visa, trade visa and family visa. This means that requirements depend on the purpose of your visit.
Attestation of the whole set of your educational and non-educational certificates is normally required if you are applying for business visa, employment visa, or student visa in the UAE.
For those applying for employment visa, the prime requirement is attestation of educational certificates. Prepare your highest education document. As a tip, confirm from your employer the attestation requirement.
If you are applying for student visa, education certificate attestation in Dubai is required.
As for business visa, business related documents would require attestation. This may include certificates of origin and incorporation, Power of Attorney, Memorandum of Association, etc.
For visa processing of spouse, marriage certificate would have to be attested. In case of kids, attestation of birth certificates would be required.
The Ideal Process
- Take educational documents to the university; non-educational documents to an authorized attesting body
- Human Resource department (HRD) attests educational document; home department attests non-educational document
- Ministry of External Affairs attestation
- Dubai or UAE embassy attest the documents
- Dubai or UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs
